While driving around North Baltimore on a cold(ish) winter night this past week, you may have noticed the glittering beacon of holiday cheer and Baltimorean good will that is the Clifton Mansion. As of last Thursday, the Clifton tower is officially lit! We want to thank everyone who came out to the festivities. Seeing all of our volunteers, corps members and staff mingling amidst the holiday carols and the smell of mulled apple cider made us remember why, despite decidedly chilly canvass sessions, we still love the winter season.
No matter how beautifully lit, however, the main focus of our festivities wasn’t the Clifton Tower, it was our volunteers. Thank you to every volunteer who helped make Retrofit Baltimore, and all Civic Works projects, possible this year. You make amazing things happen, and we can’t wait to spend a greener, more equitable 2012 with you!
